The Tragedy

If man was given wings to fly, he would still find a way to exhaust the skies.

But we dream of wings all the time. So often in fact, that we are already learning to fly. We know how to curve, dive and balance through the air, all in our minds. We can almost see ourselves stretching out our hands and fluttering away. The real tragedy therefore is something else entirely. That while we will surely destroy freedom, we long for nothing more.
