SUNRISE, ON INSPIRATION

As easily as it came, it went.

The matchless world of great abandon.

Hours I spent in that creaking chair.

Siphoning off an endless debate.

Should this go here?

Are my words fair?

It was all I thought about.

And when the art faded.

The tone changed, the thoughts dispersed.

The fantasy world grew dim.

I was left there,

In the midst of blank pages,

Staring at the sunrise.

And hoping for a day of rest.
